Each second advances one stage of an absurd machine: marble drop, zigzag ramp, teeter-totter, bowling pins, spring catapult, balloon burst, steam whistle, fan, conveyor, hammer, score dial for the minute, and a final hour station with twelve labeled bays. Read the red marble for seconds, the score dial for minutes, and the labeled bay for the hour.
